Editorial Policy

How we research, write and maintain the guides that accompany every tool.

Last updated: June 2026

Our standards

Every tool page is paired with original documentation written to be genuinely useful: what the tool does, who it is for, how to use it step by step, its limits, and answers to real questions. We aim for clarity over fluff and accuracy over hype.

Accuracy & sourcing

Technical claims — how a file format behaves, what a calculation's formula is, which browsers support a feature — are grounded in official specifications and primary documentation. When a tool relies on a particular method or library, we say so.

Originality

We do not publish duplicate or spun content. Each guide is written for its specific tool, and our content system is designed to keep pages distinct and substantive rather than repeating boilerplate.

Updates & corrections

Tools and the web change. We revisit pages as browsers evolve and as we improve each tool, and we welcome corrections. Spotted an error? Email hello@nineclip.com and we will fix it promptly.

Independence

Our recommendations and comparisons are editorially independent. Advertising supports the site but does not influence the substance of our guides.
